Why Being Smart can Make You Unsuccessful?

"I have plenty of time today. I could easily finish my work. Instead, I'll just scroll through social media," you think to yourself. Then, your inner voice chimes in, "There’s someone out there working twice as hard as you, no matter what day it is, what time it is, or how much they struggle."
Isn’t it frustrating to be constantly derailed from the image you have of yourself? You’re not alone—I’ve been there too. It turns out, motivation alone isn’t enough. The real issue might be overconfidence.
Everyone faces their own unique set of challenges, but I want to share a simple thought process that explains why smart people often procrastinate.

If you find yourself stuck in this cycle, ask yourself: if I can catch fish twice as fast as others, why don’t I set a higher goal than they do?
I believe you’re more capable than the average person. You can achieve twice as much as others in the same amount of time. So, you can’t afford to set your goals at the same level as everyone else. You have to aim higher.
So, you can’t afford to set your goals at the same level as everyone else. You have to aim higher.
Remember this: success doesn’t belong to those who are merely smart. Success belongs to those with strong character. Intelligence is just a tool to help you get there.
